Why our prayer groups matters
Our prayer groups are at the heart of life at Cornerstone. It is how we seek God’s guidance, encourage one another, and lift the needs of our community in Bristol, Britain, and beyond.
That’s why we host regular prayer groups throughout the week, both in-person and on Zoom. Everyone is welcome to join — whether you’re part of the church family or simply exploring faith.

Praying together on Sundays
Prayer is woven into our weekly worship services:
- Intercessions: During our Sunday morning service, we take time to pray together for the church, our city, and the world.
- Prayer ministry after the service: A trained prayer team is available each Sunday. You’ll find them by the piano at the front/side of the church, wearing green lanyards. They are always ready to pray with or for you.
Covering each other in prayer
We also use a prayer diary throughout the year. Each week, everyone in the church is encouraged to pray for:
- 5–6 members of the congregation
- A specific area of church ministry
- Any prayer requests we have received
This helps ensure that the entire church family is regularly supported in prayer.
Prayer Groups: Join us in prayer
Prayer is a simple yet powerful way to grow closer to God and to one another. Whether in person or online, we would love for you to join us.
