What is Kintsugi Hope?

Life can often feel overwhelming. Many of us experience times of anxiety, disappointment, or isolation. Kintsugi Hope is a national charity that equips churches and organisations to run Wellbeing Groups — safe and supportive spaces where it’s okay not to be OK.

The word Kintsugi originates from a Japanese art form in which broken pottery is repaired with gold. Instead of hiding the cracks, they become part of the object’s beauty. In the same way, Kintsugi Hope believes our scars and struggles can become part of our story, bringing hope and healing.

Kintsugi Hope at Cornerstone

At Cornerstone Church Bristol, we offer this course because we believe that no one should struggle alone.

Our groups provide:

  • A safe and non-judgmental space to talk
  • Weekly sessions covering themes like anxiety, perfectionism, shame, resilience, and forgiveness
  • Practical tools to support mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Time to share, listen, and encourage one another

Each group is led by trained facilitators who care deeply about people’s wellbeing.

Who is it for?

The course is for anyone who:

  • Feels overwhelmed by the pressures of life
  • Wants to explore emotional and mental wellbeing
  • Values having a safe space to share with others
  • Is open to finding hope and encouragement

You do not need to be a church member to join. Everyone is welcome.

How to join

Groups typically run for 12 weeks, featuring a mix of discussions, activities, and reflections. Spaces are limited to keep the groups small and safe, so booking is essential.
