Ephesians 1:7
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
Because of the richness of God’s generous heart, our sins are forgiven through of the sacrifice of His son Jesus.
Hebrews 12:2
“…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.“
Because Jesus could see beyond the suffering He gave His life on the cross so that we might be forgiven and share with Him in the glory of the resurrection.
Philippians 2:8
“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
God came to earth in the form of Jesus, a humble man, who died on the cross so that we could see Him, understand him, and be saved from our sins through that great sacrifice.
